- Authors
Lepejian, Sosi Segal; Nolan, Edward
- Abstract
The Armenian Museum of America adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic by creating virtual exhibitions, which are still available even after the museum reopened for in-person visitors. These exhibitions cover a range of topics and showcase a selection of items from the museum's collections. The exhibitions highlight the importance of Armenian material culture in preserving and spreading awareness of Armenian history and culture. They also address the ongoing conflict in the region and the role of material culture in asserting Armenian sovereignty and indigeneity. The virtual exhibitions provide a glimpse into the diverse and evolving Armenian cultural identity.
