- Abstract
This article, titled "OC12.02: Diagnostic test accuracy of each of the four IDEA ultrasound steps," discusses the diagnostic accuracy of transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) for deep endometriosis (DE). The study aimed to assess the ability of each step of the four-step IDEA TVS for deep endometriosis. The results showed that incorporating all four steps increased the sensitivity of detecting DE to 96% from 78% with step 1 alone. The study concludes that a negative IDEA scan strongly supports the absence of deep endometriosis.
