- Abstract
The article presents a study of autologous fibroblast suspension for the treatment of refractory diabetic foot ulcer in a 62-year-old man who had diabetes mellitus for years. The patient showed no sign of improvement despite surgical debridement, topical and oral antibiotic treatment of ciprofloxacin and clindamycin, and glycemic control. The study concludes the application of cultured fibroblasts as an effective method for the treatment of some selected refractory diabetic ulcers.
