- Abstract
The article presents an open uncontrolled trial of topical 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy for treatment of urethral condylomata acuminata in male patients. Patients experienced mild burning/stinging sensation during irradiation, and moderate pain, with no other complications such as bleeding, infection, ulcers, scarring or stricture. The growth of genital warts in patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus is also noted.
