- Title
Hormonal Responses to Exercise and Competition.
- Abstract
The article presents an abstract of a study by A. Salvador and colleagues, originally published in the "Aggressive Behavior" magazine, which looked at the influence of physical exercise and sports competition on testosterone and cortisol levels in teenage male athletes. The study concluded that the type of activity and the previous experience with success, rather than winning or losing, influences the pattern of the psychoendocrine response in humans.
