- Abstract
The article discusses how research on postpartum depression (PPD) during the coronavirus pandemic reveals early maternal needs of pregnant women. Also cited are the physiological, socioenvironmental, and psychological changes experienced by women after giving birth, and how social isolation and heightened fears of infection could have psychologically affected the mental health of pregnant and postpartum women.
