- Abstract
Die akzeptorfreie Dehydrierung von Heterocyclen durch frustrierte Lewis ‐ Paare wurde entwickelt. Die Oxidation verläuft unter Abspaltung von molekularem Wasserstoff sowohl für N ‐ geschützte Indoline in exzellenten Ausbeuten als auch für vier weitere Substratklassen in guten Ausbeuten. Der Mechanismus dieser bisher unbeschriebenen Reaktion wird durch mechanistische Studien, durch Charakterisierung von Intermediaten mittels NMR ‐ Spektroskopie und Einkristallstrukturanalyse und durch quantenmechanische Rechnungen gestützt. Die Wasserstofffreisetzung des intermediär gebildeten Ammoniumhydridoboratsalzes ist der geschwindigkeitsbestimmende Schritt der Oxidation. Der Zusatz einer schwächeren Lewis ‐ Säure erhöht die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit um den Faktor 2.28. Die akzeptorfreie Dehydrierung von N ‐ geschützten Indolinen und anderen Heterocyclen mit frustrierten Lewis ‐ Paaren als Katalysatoren wurde entwickelt. Mechanistische und quantenmechanische Studien identifizieren die Wasserstofffreisetzung als geschwindigkeitsbestimmenden Schritt. Die Zugabe einer schwächeren Lewis ‐ Säure als Hydrid ‐ Shuttle erhöht die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit um den Faktor 2.28.
