- Abstract
The article compared three different processing procedures in pregnant women undergoing diagnostic oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). The procedures explored are immediate plasma separation using lithium-heparin-plasma separation tubes, usual OGTT laboratory processing that uses fluoride tubes, and tubes containing lyophilized citrate. Discrepancies in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) diagnostic rates are mentioned.
