- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the efficiency of imidacloprid insecticide as a prevention of avocado thrips and lace bugs in avocado groves in California. The study uses avocado thrips and lace bugs gathered for a series of bioassays, removal of leaf litters for the sprinkler patterns of insecticide treatments, and three commercial avocado groves. The study shows that the bioassay data demonstrated avocado lace bugs to be more sensitive with the imidacloprid than avocado thrips.
