- Abstract
In order to efficiently, quickly and evenly sterilize the interior of PET preform, a vaporized hydrogen peroxide injection device for sterilization of PET bottle preform was designed. The SolidWorks software was used to model the bottle preform and air injection nozzle. Based on the computational fluid dynamics method, the sterilization process of PET bottle preform was analyzed. By simulating different positions of the air injection nozzle from the bottom of the bottle preform and distance of the opening position from the air injection nozzle, the flow field of hydrogen peroxide gas inside the bottle preform in a short time was compared, and the best relative position of the air injection nozzle to the bottle preform and the best shape of the nozzle were obtained. The test results show that: in the sterilization time of 6 s, the optimal distance between the air injection nozzle and the bottom of the bottle preform is 40 mm, and when the opening position is 35 mm above the air injection nozzle, the sterilization speed of the gas inside the bottle preform is 0.9~1.2 m/s, the flow field in the bottle preform is relatively uniform, and the sterilization effect is good. The research can also provide a reference for the design and optimization of sterilization equipment for bottle preform.
