- Abstract
The article presents information on legal developments in marketing relative to the regulation of product characteristics. Regarding product standards, the article discusses three cases brought against the U.S. Federal Trade Commission by pillow manufacturers who had been issued cease and desist orders: Burton-Dixie Corp., Lazar, and Barclay Home Products, Inc.. The article discusses the history of the action and the Seventh Circuit Court's review of the feather and down pillow labeling.
