- Abstract
The article discusses the principles in the replantation of permanent teeth. It notes the various factors that influence the medical prognosis of replanted teeth including the extra-alveolar time (EAT), proper positioning of the replanted tooth inside its alveolar socket and splinting of the replaced tooth. It suggests clinical procedure for the replantation of teeth such as short-term and long-term post-operative examinations as well as the importance of splinting of the replanted tooth varying between 10 and 14 days only.
