Sustainability and Residence Hall Construction.
- Authors
TRINKLEIN, ANDREA J.
- Abstract
The article focuses on sustainability through the construction of residence halls such as having green-based themes that support student interest and institution's commitment to sustainability. It is mentioned that Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-New Construction (LEE-NC) certified buildings have become more common since awareness about it has been increased by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Providing easier methods for students to practice recycling, including the availability of flexible recycle bags, is suggested.
