- Abstract
This article presents a case report of a patient who developed hop allergy. A 43 year old woman worked in a laboratory for the investigation of hops, Humulus lupulus L. The dried carpophores of female hop plants are pulverized in a mill. The hop dust forms the raw material for chemical analyses, such as the estimation of lupulin and tannic acids. In spite of airconditioning, a lot of fine dust particles are present in the air. The patient developed conjunctivitis, rhinitis, bronchitis and dermatitis of the face in relation to her job.
