- Abstract
The authors reflect on the use of anti-reflux surgery (ARS) for patients with gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD). They highlight the outcomes of ARS for patients who receive proton pump inhibitor (PPI) prior to consideration of surgery. The authors examine the use of medical therapy for GERD in patients who have incomplete work up prior to ARS.
