- Abstract
The article focuses on how understanding the relationship between wealth, entrepreneurship and improved rural livelihoods will help focus policy attention on the most appropriate drivers of entrepreneurship. Topics discussed include definition of entrepreneurship and important urban/rural differences in entrepreneurship rates, key findings from the literature suggesting the impact of wealth on entrepreneurship rates, and the connection between entrepreneurship and improved rural livelihoods.
