- Abstract
Employers may also encounter retirees who experience cognitive decline while they are receiving benefits or while their defined contribution accounts are still in the employer's plans. Retirement Plans second quarter 2021 benefits quarterly 25 retirement plans SOA Research and Publications SOA has sponsored and published a considerable amount of work on retirement and diminished capacity, including some on the implications of COVID-19. Implications for Employers - A Focus on the Caregiver The same initiatives may also provide help to the employee/caregiver. Employers may draw on support from employee assistance programs (EAPs), financial wellness providers, prepaid legal programs and community resources as they help employees and retirees navigate these issues.
