- Abstract
Objetivo: Diferenciar el proceso del triaje pediátrico con el adulto. métodos y materiales: búsqueda bibliográfica en las bases de datos Pubmed, medline, Cochrane plus y Google scholar con su posterior revisión de los artículos más actuales. Resultados y discusión: El triaje pediátrico es complejo ya que los síntomas y signos suelen ser diferentes a los de la población adulta. A estas características fisiológicas se añade situaciones especiales. Para empezar, el interlocutor sobre todo a edades tempranas no es el enfermo, sino que suelen ser los acompañantes quienes indican que han notado y cuál es la razón de haber ido al SUP, además los niños suelen ser tímidos y esquivos, por lo que su exploración resulta aún más dificultosa. Para realizar un triaje correcto a un niño deberemos: 1. Interferir lo menos posible en el estado basal del niño 2. Ganar su confianza 3. Adaptarse a la edad del niño 4. Evitar sustos Tras lo revisado se puede establecer la siguiente secuencia de valoración pediátrica en el triaje: 1. Triángulo de Evaluación Pediátrica (TEP) →SIN MANOS. 2. Valoración del ABCDE. 3. Asignar un nivel de prioridad, basado en el sistema de triaje que use cada respectivo servicio. Conclusiones: Resulta de vital importancia a la hora de realizar el triaje, que el personal que lo realice posea la mayor experiencia posible, la clasificación se base en sistemas de triaje estructurado y utilice herramientas validadas y de amplio uso.
