- Title
The Organismic Community: Resilience of an Embattled Ecological Concept.
- Authors
Richardson, Jonathan L.
- Abstract
The article presents the author's comments on research related to resilience among organisms, including plants, animals and decomposers, in a biotic community. Botanist F.C. Clements derived the organismic concept of resilience from the study of plants and plant succession, but these concepts, according to the author, supply weak arguments for resilience.
