- Abstract
This article discusses the case of a 4-year-old girl with multiple atrophic scars on her scalp since birth. The girl also has brownish papules on her face and neck, as well as an ipsilateral limbal dermoid on her eye. The diagnosis is aplasia cutis congenita (ACC) type 3, a congenital condition associated with epidermal nevi. The parents were counseled about potential neurological abnormalities and the child was referred to a neurologist, although an MRI of the brain was normal. The ophthalmological evaluation did not reveal any significant findings other than the limbal dermoid.
