- Abstract
An editorial is presented which addresses the authors' views about several priority areas to advance research, practice, and policies involving the roles of family caregivers of older Asian American immigrants, and it mentions a caregiver's role in protecting others from discrimination. The mental health needs of caregivers are assessed, along with cultural backgrounds and the concept of a caregiver as a sociocultural navigator in America's health care system.
