- Abstract
Troubleshooting for turning, drilling and milling are frequent work for the manufacturing engineer in metal cutting practice. Artificial intelligence applications based on expert systems were developed for many years, but still today in the industrial environment the cutting process is governed by the CAM's knowledge system or by the production engineer best practice. 1 reality, the cutting process takes place on the CNC machine tool and is adjusted by hand from the CNC operator with relative success. The paper presents a digital solution for this problem: an online feedback between the real cutting process and cutting parameters supervised by the process controller, using genetic algorithms.
