The article focuses research of National Institutes of Health on plant compound apigenin which improves cognitive and memory deficits in mouse model of Down syndrome. Topics discussed include decline in growth of brain due to increased inflammation in fetal brain, down symptoms whose mothers were not fed apigenin and improvements in spatial and olfactory memory.
