An editorial is presented on the state of the nursing profession in the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife 2020 during COVID-19. Topics include the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife has not quite played out that might have imagined, the year of celebrations has anticipated, and the much-needed injection of morale boost among the worlds' nursing population.
