- Abstract
In the article, the authors discuss issues in human organ donation of brain-dead patients as of October 2015, particularly whether mandatory recovery of organs for transplantation is acceptable. Also cited are some organ donation systems aimed at encouraging donation like required consent, opting in with family consent, and mandatory recovery of organs, as well as the positions of nephrologist A. Spital and ethicist J. S. Taylor on the issue.
