- Abstract
The article reports on the issue regarding the plan for high-profile release of genome sequences discussed during the annual genomics meeting at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in May 2007 in New York. Some researchers claimed that sequencing prominent scientists will make personal genomics a tool for the rich and privilege. Michael Egholm, vice president at 454 Life Sciences said that genome sequences will become a vanity project for the wealthy.
