- Abstract
new DTS(FCT) organic semiconductor of the D-A-D-A-D structure containing dithienosilole and quinoxaline chromophores as electron-donating and electron-accepting moieties, respectively, has been synthesized. The study of optical and electrochemical properties shows that the material absorbs light in a wide range of the solar spectrum through 700 nm and has an appropriate arrangement of energy levels for the efficient dissociation of excitons. The obtained results demonstrate that this approach to the design of semiconductor molecules of the D-A-D-A-D structure is promising for high-performance organic solar cells.
