- Abstract
The article focuses on the pragmatic trial which addresses a problem of clinical decision-making. In its pure form, a pragmatic trial would compare two evidence-based treatments to help clinicians in selecting which one should be selected first. By contrast, an efficacy trial is designed to determine whether a treatment is effective.
