- Abstract
The article discusses the results of research which assessed corneal sensitivity in diabetic subjects using both Cochet-Bonnet aesthesiometer (C-BA) and the noncontact corneal aesthesiometer (NCCA). It found that corneal sensitivity assessed using the CB-A was reduced in diabetic subjects but was not reduced in patients without neuropathy. It noted that corneal sensitivity assessed using NCCA was lessened in patients compared with control subjects.
