- Abstract
The article focuses on a study on a new strategy for controlling shrinkage of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) resins. The Boltorn H30 DGEBA has been cured by cationic copolymerization with hydroxyl-terminated hyperbranched polymers (HBPs) and ytterbium triflate as an initiator. Findings show that H30 lessens contraction during the curing process and initiates expansion when used in high proportions. It adds that an H30 proportion increase leads to an increase in conversion at gelation.
