- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that examines demand-side barriers associated with limited purchase of private long-term care insurance (LCI). These factors include less availability of costly substitutes, consumer information and risk perception. It informs that the study show that among individuals who are not eliminated through medical underwriting , consumer risk perception is strongly associated with limited purchase of LCI.
