The article discusses whether the state of California should apply the federal Daubert standard as expert scientific evidence at trials instead of the Kelly-Frye test. Topics include how the Kelly-Frye test and Daubert standard are applied in court cases in the state, the use of the Court-Appointed Scientific Experts (CASE) of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the application of DNA evidence under the Kelly-Frye test.
