- Abstract
The article discusses the study that investigates on the impact of depression on the increased mortality of diabetic patients in the U.S. The study was conducted on a group of primary care patients with type 2 diabetes using Patient Health Questionnaire to evaluate the causes and level of depression as well as current medical records. The study reveals that patients with diabetes and depression have high mortality risk than cardiovascular related deaths.
