- Abstract
The article presents the case study of a 74 year old Greek man with Necrotizing Pneumonia caused by Staphylococcus aureus Harboring SSCmec Type V. His respiratory examination revealed diffuse coarse crackles. He was also diagnosed with respiratory tract infection and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and blood were obtained for conventional cultures. The article also discusses the isolation of Staphylococcus aureus strain which belongs to the ST1 and carries SCCmec Type V.
