- Abstract
The article discusses the study that determines the kinetics and photophysical mechanism of sunlight photolysis of unstable resmethrin and phenothrin in aerosols and thin films, conducted in Russia. According to preliminary experiments, the films undergo very little decomposition and evaporation in the dark, with less than 3 percent chromatography accuracy. It also shows the photolysis kinetics of insecticide films, with 3-7 mm overall thickness at the daytime. Films and aerosols were observed using a microscope, as the quasi-solid heterogeneous ones. Thus, it has been observed that heterogeneity and fast photodestruction of methylene blue are the reasons for a poor reproducibility of rate constants.
