- Title
THE CHANGING SUPREME COURT AND PRISONERS' RIGHTS.
- Authors
SMITH, CHRISTOPHER E.
- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of changes in the composition of the U.S. Supreme Court on the rights of prisoners. It mentions that the most dramatic potential changes in rights of prisoners could develop if the initiative of Justice Clarence Thomas to reconsider the prisoners' rights precedent succeeds. Moreover, the due process-based right of access to the courts of prisoners is the only one limited constitutional right Justice Thomas is willing to acknowledge.
