- Abstract
This article will analyze the new concepts and theories related to design management, which focus their attention on people's experiences and on the particular characteristics of each one of them. Specifically, with an approach from Product Design, the scopes and relationships between these conceptual definitions that always belonged to the project's field of discipline, but were not visible will be studied and will attempt to identify how they influence innovation and development of products. Special attention will be given to product service systems as a new approach to the object of study of designers. From this analysis, it will be concluded about its strategic relevance for public and private organizations, and the need to incorporate these concepts into all academic activities and consequently to the teaching of product design.
