- Abstract
Various electromagnetic fields in the near-field regime in vacuum nearby (100) plane of the ionic crystal NaCl are considered. Dynamic corrections to the static field due to thermal fluctuations of ions near their equilibrium positions within a crystal lattice are studied. The fields generated by a crystal half-space and by a film of finite thickness containing arbitrary ionic monolayers are investigated. It is shown that the convergence properties of obtained series for dynamical fields are good enough both in normal and lateral directions with respect to the sample surface. Different contributions to the energy density of electromagnetic field owing to the electrostatic field of the ionic lattice, to the fluctuating monopole-like field of the ions, and to the fluctuating dipole-like field arising as a result of spontaneous deformations of the crystal cells are calculated and compared. The corresponding spectral composition of the fields is modeled. Periodic structuring of energy of the electromagnetic fields at small distances from the crystal's surface due to the static and dynamic contributions is illustrated.
