- Abstract
The authors explore the significance of helminths species-complexes for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human infections. Topics discussed include the five species of Echinococcus (E.) granulosus which contain 10 genoptypes, the high possibility of cross infection of human by Opisthorchis (O.) viverrini parasites from different wetlands and the importance of the correct identification of a specie for both basic and applied research.
