Establishment of a link between bovine spongiform encephalopathy in cattle and variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease in humans; Risks involved in neural tissue embolism and carcase contamination after stunning; Influence of the presence of alternative cerebral drainage vessels in the species to the detection of neural tissue emboli in other veins draining blood from the head.
