- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to evaluate oxidative stress due to ischemia/reperfusion injury and the oxidative stress in the non-ischemic lobules of rat liver. The research involves eight week old male rats from Japan SLC Co., and hepatic ischemia was induced using a microvascular clip to clamp the portal vein and bile ducts. Results show that plasma vitamin C was higher than the sham group, while the ischemic lobes vitamin C was significantly lower than the sham group.
