- Abstract
This article focuses on a study related to the incidence of atherosclerosis of the bronchial artery. Bronchial circulation is one of the dual blood supplies of the lungs. Despite the recent interest in bronchial arteries, there has been limited information regarding the incidence of atherosclerotic disease in these vessels. These preliminary data suggest that bronchial arteries, similarly to the internal thoracic arteries, have a very low incidence of atherosclerosis. However, further studies are required to elucidate this remark.
