- Abstract
This article discusses findings of a study, which evaluated quality of life (QOL) in at-risk-for-overweight and overweight Mexican-American children after participating on intensive weight management or self-help programs. Aside from being a precursor for adult obesity and disease, overweight status is linked with significant physical and psychosocial health consequences in childhood and adolescence.
