- Abstract
A model of quasi-orthogonal acousto-optic interaction in liquefied SF6 gas has been developed, taking into account the effect of the SF6 gas temperature on the parameters that determine acousto-optic diffraction: density, sound speed, refractive index, radiation, and ultrasound absorption coefficients. It was found that the optimal conditions for the maximum modulation depth of terahertz radiation with a wavelength of 119 μm are a temperature of 0°С and a pressure of 17 bar.
