- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 25-year-old man with Achilles tendinitis who took an oral medication composed of 75 milligram (mg) ranitidine and 100 mg aceclofenac in an orthopedic clinic. The patient experienced itching, dyspnea, and throat constriction after the medication and was admitted to the emergency room (ER). The ER doctor misattributed the anaphylactic symptoms reaction to aceclofenac, hence he administered an IV infusion of steroids and ranitidine for peptic ulcer prevention.
