An interview with Judge Dorothy W. Nelson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, about her experience of becoming a judge. Some of the issues she addressed are her recollections of her early childhood, first interest in the field of teaching before going into the law, college and law study at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and influences that she communicated to freshmen as a dean at the University of Southern California (USC).
