- Title
A Balancing View: Should Large Colon Polyps Be Removed Colonoscopically or Surgically?
- Authors
Waye, Jerome D
- Abstract
The article offers views whether large colon polyps should be removed colonoscopically or surgically. According to the author, if a surgery is to be performed, a laparoscopic approach is recommended. He believes that triage of the large polyp could be done in the best interest of the patient by having a panel of endoscopic experts look at endophotographs and allowing them to suggest whether the patients should go to surgery or have a try at removal by an endoscopist.
