- Abstract
The author discusses effect site elimination rate constant ke0 and also discusses what it signifies about propofol, the intravenous anesthetic drug. The topics discussed include pharmacokinetic modeling for measuring propofol's hypnotic effect, graph depicting a relation between propofol concentrations and its hypnotic effect after a manual bolus dose predicted by pharmacokinetic model (Marsh Model) proposed by W.M. Marsh, and target controlled infusion predicted using Marsh model.
