- Abstract
The article focuses on a study which described the dynamics of the phytoplankton community in the Eastern Harbor (EH) and Katey Bey (KB) areas on the Alexandria coast in Egypt in 2009. It mentions the abundance and persistent occurrence of diatoms and dinoflagellates in EH and KB. Also noted is the continuity of eutrophication conditions in both areas which was indicated from high nutrient concentrations and intensive phytoplankton growth.
