Estudo do Comportamento Dimensional de Bases de Próteses Totais Convencionais e Reembasadas com Sistema de Reforço de Nylon e Sílica Frente a Ciclagem em Micro-Ondas.

- Abstract
O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o comportamento dimensional de próteses totais convencionais confeccionadas em resina acrílica (RAAT) e reembasadas com um sistema de reforço em nylon e sílica, frente a desinfecção por energia micro-ondas. Para isso, 36 bases de prótese foram confeccionadas e divididas em 6 grupos (n=6): WM: RAAT; WMN1: RAAT + reforço em nylon transversal (RNT); WMN2: RAAT + reforço em nylon longitudinal (RNL); WRM: RAAT + reembasador (RE); WRMN1: RAAT + RE + RNT; WRMN2: RAAT + RE + RNL. A análise de alteração dimensional das bases foi feita mediante o escaneamento das amostras antes e após a ciclagem em micro-ondas. Para tanto, foi utilizado um scanner extra oral para a captura das imagens, e para analisar o comportamento dimensional das amostras, foi utilizado o software de inspeção 3D GOM Inspect. Os valores obtidos antes e após a desinfecção foram submetidos a um cálculo de diferença numérica (mm) e a seguir foram transformados em análise de alteração. Assim, foram submetidos a análise estatística anova dois fatores, não havendo diferença estatística significante entre os grupos (p=0,767). Pode-se concluir que não houve alteração dimensional significativa das bases experimentais após a desinfecção em microondas independente da presença ou ausência de reforço.
